Game's Manager Convicted of Assault
Upper Marlboro, Md. (AP) - The manager of a rap recording artist has been convicted of assaulting a Maryland disc jockey.
A jury has found 40-year-old James Rosemond guilty of the unprovoked beating of WKYS announcer "DJ Zxulu."
Rosemond, who lives in New York, is known as "Jimmy Henchman" and represents the artist known as "The Game." They were at the hip-hop station's Lanham studios last January.
Prince George's County prosecutor Glenn Ivey says the attack happened after the DJ made a joke about Rosemond's cell phone earpiece.
During the two-day trial, witnesses testified that Rosemond beat Zxulu, whose real name is Richard Dunkerson, badly enough to send him to the hospital.
Rosemond faces up to ten years in prison when he is sentenced April third.

The Game To Be Featured in New PSP Game
Matty/Markus Games has secured a voice/likeness deal with the multi platinum hip-hop recording artist, The Game. The Game will be featured in the company first launched title. The Game will also produce the sound track along with his managers Jimmy Rosemond and Delaney McGill, scheduled for fourth quarter 2006 release.
That means casting celebrities to breathe life into the virtual roles and hiring musicians to create original soundtracks. Rapper The Game will headline the company's first game--and that's a big first-step for a new company trying to make a name for itself. "An original soundtrack from artists that we build games around will be part of our release model at Matty/Markus Games," said Rich, who is working with rapper The Game on an original Mature-rated lowrider street-racing PlayStation Portable game for release in the fall.
A video game soundtrack will be released before that title's release as well.
